National Park House

The National Park House between Merkersdorf and Hardegg is the first point of contact for visitors! The information centre offers hiking maps, nature information, the current programme of events and information about accommodation, restaurants and excursion destinations in the region around the National Park. The shop and café restaurant invite you to come browse and enjoy!

1 Oct - 2 Nov.: daily, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m

Crossing the border

The Thaya bridge in Hardegg is only open for pedestrians and cyclists. When crossing the state border, you must bring a valid passport or identity card. Only the marked trails in the National Park may be used.
