six National Parks - one common voice
The umbrella organisation of National Parks Austria combines the many voices of the National Park landscape into a choir: acting in concert through the Management Board, comprised of the directors of the eight Austrian National Park administrations, the non-profit association has promoted the dynamic development of the protected areas and implemented joint projects as well as the well-publicised communication of shared concerns since 2011.Close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility and Technology (BMK) gives the common voice an additional boost.
Support is also provided by the National Park Advisory Board, made up of representatives of regional states and NGOs, which constitutes a consultative and evaluative body.
