Raabs castle
Raabs Castle is an elongated building located on a rocky rise high above the town of Raabs an der Thaya, and was mentioned for the first time in the year 1100.
The mighty towers and walls, vaulted ceilings, a stone spiral staircase, gothic frescoes, a 40 m deep well and the castle chapel are very well preserved. The castle is currently in private ownership.
Various exhibitions alternate during the year. Guided tours can be organized upon request.
